All the Desks I Considered for Our Study

Last week, I shared my plans for our study along with the furniture pieces I’ve chosen for the room. This week I thought I’d share a roundup of all the desks I considered for the room.

Even though my day job is literally designing offices, I felt a lot of pressure making this decision. Joey and I will be each be working from home for two days a week, so it needs to be a shared workstation that works for both of us. I don’t want to mess it up with an expensive piece of furniture that isn’t quite right. (I changed the entire layout of the desk area 3 weeks ago, so I’m clearly having a hard time making decisions here!)

What I chose for us was largely decided by the strange layout of our room, but I saved too many beautiful options along the way to keep them all to myself. In the past few years, companies have really stepped up their game to outfit the home offices of those of us who work from home, and there has never been a better time to find truly beautiful and functional pieces for a home office.

Just a note before we start: these pieces are on the splurgier side. There are certainly less expensive options for outfitting a home office, but I want to share pieces made from high-quality materials that will stand up to years of use. My write-up on why furniture costs what it does can be found here.
